Manab Kalyan Khadi Gramodyog Samity
Organization Manab Kalyan Khadi Gramodyog Samity was first established
on 10th Deecember 1986 in the aim of all around development for the down
trodden and grass root level people . When we look back on 2nd October 1983
as a small club named Shibpur Upajati Shanti Sangha got its publicity on
making works on Tagore as a Idol . The development work was growing rapidly
on rural society through education , moral and cultural lesions and economic
self reliance lesions for the youths. Staying within the core capacity and
experience , we have tried to offer some development service to the people
through some action program , but the huge work was not possible by the club
. Then the club decided to work as a organization under governments
recognization .
In 1987, the club was registered under Govt. Of West Bengal as MKKGS ,
Registration no S/57592 of 1987-88. The philosophy assists through the
source of the universal outlaw of J.L. Neheru . So we all maintain the direct
relationship with the common people and tried to engage them with our
projects directly . It helps S.T and S.C people lived in our working area a lot to
improve their socio-economic situation . The works has been done by MKKGS
is quite significant . We are providing you a short sketch of our works .
At first , Manab Kalyan Kahdi Gramodyog Samity started their works with
5blocks , those are Md. Bazar, Rampurhat No-1, Rampurhat No-2, Nalhati No-
1, And Mayureswar No-1. There were 30 villages in these 5 blocks , where
MKKGS started their developmental work . Lion Part of the villages are
Scheduled Tribes and Minorities . Geographically the area is located with
natural forest , Mountains, Hill Stones and Laterite Red Soil . Flown river in
these area are Mayurakshi and Bramhani and Dwarka . The area is
comparatively infertile . Main occupation of these villagers ( Mainly Santal Tribe
) are Shal leaves collection and making of Shal Leaves . They also collect
indigradable oil seeds as like Neem , Mahua , Kasew Nut , Bahara , Arjun ,
Amlaki and many others . They also work as daily labourer in the local Stone
Crusher and Quarry . Though the crusher and quarry works are centred and
within some months in a year and within a few of people also . Few of them
work 100-120 days in a year in cultivation and MGNREGA on the other days .
Rest of the villegers has to go to other district as well as other states also in
search of job .
Problems in This Area : Main problem in these area is Lack of work and job
facility , health and literacy . Also the Environment , Stability and connectivity
are problem too.
Possibilities: Local people have some thought the lands are infertile and
highland , but these lands can be used as many developmental works .
Working With Them in this infertile land , we can do afforestation program
which can improve the income of the poor villegers as well as the society
development is also possible . In the other infertile land if financially invested
they can run successfully for brick making , Stone Crusher and quarry
business . In the rest of the comparatively fertile land , there its possible to
cultivate through river lifted pump beside these rivers Mayurakshi , Bramhani
and Dwarka .
Manab Kalyan Khadi Gramodyog Samity thought about these problems and
started working with some local villager’s financial help as well as governments
help since 1987-88. We , the members of the organization are doing the
developmental works with full faith and good intention . We will help these
villagers and our society in the same way in future also . So, As the past years
Manab Kalyan Khadi Gramodyog Samity worked in 2017-18 also
